MAMBA hits again

On May 20th, a GBAD squadron consisting of French Air Force command and control elements and  2 SAMP/T systems conducted a live fire exercise in the French CELM polygon. One SAMP/T was an Italian unit, from the 4th artillery regiment from Mantova, while the second one came from the French Air Force GBAD unit (EDSA) from St Dizier. The exercise consisted in coordinated interception of 2 drone targets, one per SAMP/T unit, thus rehearsing procedures between the French and Italian troops. This European training between both NATO nations is a marker of the excellent relationship between the 2 forces around their common SAMP/T equipment.  Both drones were shot down within seconds from each other.
